What causes hair loss?
Hair loss or alopecia is a condition of losing hair from a portion of the head or body. Hair loss may cause psychological distress and a lack of confidence in the affected individual. Hair loss can affect men, women, and even children. The hair strand contains hair follicles (small sac-like structure) that promote hair growth, and any damage to these follicular hair units results in hair fall and balding.
Common factors like change in environmental conditions, hormonal alterations, chemotherapy, excessive use of hair dyes, undiagnosed medical conditions, and certain medications side effects causes hair loss. In many people, sometimes heredity is also the main cause of balding.
